The Onboarding Wizard
The wizard runs once, the first time you sign in, and sets up everything SDRPilot needs to start working. Your workspace is set up for you automatically, so you start with your website. Your progress is saved, so you can leave and come back.
The steps are:
- Describe your business by entering your website
- Review and test the playbook
- Connect LinkedIn
- Launch
Champions Circle members who signed in with DM Champ see one extra step first: SDRPilot confirms which DM Champ account the workspace belongs to. If you signed in with DM Champ this happens by itself and the wizard moves on. The agent it builds lives on your DM Champ account, next to your other channels.

Step 1: Your website
Enter your website address. SDRPilot finds the pages on it and shows them grouped and searchable, with the most useful ones already ticked. Each page carries a verdict: Recommended for the core pages, Optional for the rest, and Skip (suggested) with the reason (a changelog, a legal page, a search results page) for pages that would only add noise. It is only a suggestion, so tick anything you like. Adjust the selection, then choose Build my agent.
SDRPilot reads the pages you ticked, turns them into knowledge for your agent and writes your playbook, which is the agent’s instructions for how to talk to leads. You see the progress while it works.
You can skip this step. Your agent is still created, with a LinkedIn starter playbook you can edit yourself later.
Your website is only read when an agent is first created, so asking for it afterwards gives you a brand new agent rather than a rewrite of the agent you already have. The Your agent is ready screen offers Read my website instead, and it does so even when you skipped the website. That takes you back to the website screen, where you enter an address and choose Build a new agent. SDRPilot reads the site, writes a playbook and builds a new agent, and that new agent becomes the one that answers your LinkedIn DMs. The agent you had before is left alone and stays paused, so it answers nothing. If you change your mind on that screen, choose Never mind, keep my agent.
Step 2: Review and test
This is where you read what your agent will actually say before anyone receives it. Three tabs:
- Playbook and FAQs and Knowledge are the real agent editor, embedded here. An edit made in this step is a real edit on your agent.
- Try out runs a full simulation. Pick a sample lead, an ideal fit, a borderline one, a poor one or one you write yourself, and pick what triggered the contact, such as a connection request, a comment, a profile view or a search. SDRPilot shows the verdict on whether the lead fits, the score, the connection note and the opening message. Choose Continue this conversation to keep chatting with your agent as that person.
Testing is an invitation, not a gate. You can continue at any time.
Step 3: Connect LinkedIn
Sign in to the LinkedIn account this workspace will use. This step is described in full in Connect Your LinkedIn Account.
You may skip it and connect later from Settings. The wizard still finishes: Launch completes and you land in the app. Your sourcing agent is then created for you the moment you connect a LinkedIn account. Until an account is connected, nothing can be found and nothing can be sent.
Step 4: Launch
The last screen shows your ideal customer in one line and a picture of what happens next, from finding a lead through to a booked conversation. Choose Launch.
SDRPilot switches on your AI agent’s replies. If a LinkedIn account is connected, it also creates your first SDRPilot agent if you have none and starts it, and the first automatic work begins within a couple of minutes. If you skipped the LinkedIn step, Launch still completes and you land in the app, and your SDRPilot agent is created for you as soon as you connect an account. Either way you land on your agent’s overview, where you can see its state, its playbook and its ideal customer.
From here, go to Your Dashboard to watch it run.
