Lead Views

The leads table can hold tens of thousands of people. Views are how you stop scrolling and keep the slice you actually work in one click away.

Filtering

Three controls narrow the table, and they all end up in the same place.

  1. Search matches on name, headline and company.
  2. Status chips above the table are quick filters. Click several to see more than one status at a time.
  3. Filters opens the rule builder. Pick a field, pick a condition, pick a value. There are 24 fields to choose from, including status, score, source, tags, country, whether the person is a customer, and when a connection request was sent to them or accepted.

Every rule you add shows as a chip under the toolbar, so you can always see what is being filtered and remove one rule without clearing the rest. The Customers chip is the same thing in one click.

Sorting, columns and page size

Click Lead, Status, Score or Added in the header to sort on that column. Sorting runs on the server, so it sorts all of your leads and not just the page in front of you.

Use the column menu to hide columns you never read and drag the edges to resize them. Your column choice, column widths and rows per page (25, 50 or 100) are remembered in your browser, so they follow you between visits but not between people.

Filters, search, sort, page and the selected view all live in the address bar. Copy the URL and whoever opens it sees exactly the same rows. That makes a view a perfectly good way to hand a slice of the pipeline to a colleague, or to bookmark the check you run every Monday.

Saving a view

When the table shows what you want, press Save view. You get two kinds.

  • A view saves the rules, not the rows. It re-runs every time you open it, so new leads that match appear on their own. Use it for things like “qualified, score above 80, added this month”.
  • A list saves the people. It is a fixed set that only changes when you add or remove somebody. Use it for things like “people to call at the trade show”.

Saved views appear as chips above the table next to All. The menu on a chip lets you rename it, edit its rules, reorder the chips and delete it.

Adding to a list

Select leads in the table and choose Add to list in the bulk bar. You can pick an existing list or create one on the spot. While a list is the selected view, the bulk bar also offers Remove from list, so a list stays easy to prune.

A note on the country filter

The country filter offers every country LinkedIn can return, not only the countries you already have leads in. Picking one you have never targeted gives an empty table rather than an error.
