Content Search

Content Search finds the conversations happening in your market and hands you the people in them. You search for posts, not for people, and then pull the commenters and reactors out of the posts that matter.

It is the warmest cold source there is: somebody who just commented on a post about your topic is a far better prospect than somebody who merely has the right job title.

Searching for posts

Type a keyword and narrow it down.

  • Sort by relevance or date.
  • Date posted: last 24 hours, past week, past month.
  • Posted by: your first degree connections, or people you follow.
  • Author job title.

Posts render the way they do on LinkedIn, with hashtags, mentions and links intact and a See more for the long ones. Results keep loading as you scroll.

Seeing who engaged

Expand a post and SDRPilot lists everybody who engaged with it: commenters and reactors, with photo, headline and connection degree. Replies are shown indented under the comment they answer, and your own comments and reactions are filtered out.

Adding engagers as leads

Tick the people you want, or use Select all, Select commenters or Select reactors to take a whole group at once. Add them with optional tags.

Each lead keeps the context it came from: which post, what they did (a comment or a reaction), and the text of their comment. Your agent can read that when it writes, which is the difference between a generic opener and one that refers to what the person actually said.

Anybody who is already a lead shows a green Lead badge and cannot be added twice.

Letting an agent do it

An agent can run content search on a schedule using the search terms from your ICP, register the posts it finds, and feed the engagers into the normal research and scoring pipeline. Those leads carry the Content Search source, which is kept separate from Post Engagement (people who engaged with your own posts) because the two convert differently and can carry different score thresholds.

Before anybody is researched, SDRPilot checks the post itself. Job adverts and hiring posts are skipped, posts that are not actually about your topic are skipped, and the author’s country is checked against your rules. Skipped posts are parked rather than deleted.

Turning it on and off

Content search is one of the lead sources on the Agents page under Lead Sources. Switch it off and the scheduled searches stop, though engagement on posts you already track is still recorded, so nothing in your reporting goes blank.

Over 30 days of live measurement, content search was accepted by 42.6 percent of the people it invited, which is why it sits high in the default order.

Limits

You cannot yet filter by content type, or by the author’s company or industry, and there is no way to bookmark a post for later.
